Luma Ingredients
A crop-focused oligosaccharide ingredient for plant nutrition, soil programs and plant-defense strategies.
We supply agricultural-grade COS for growers and agricultural input formulators looking to build more effective crop and soil solutions.
Agricultural-grade COS · Yellow-brown powder · COS content ≥85%Chitooligosaccharide (COS) can influence the soil microbial environment, encourage beneficial microbial growth and activate plants’ natural defense responses.
Its crop applications span foliar nutrition, root-zone delivery and soil improvement. COS is used in the development of biopesticide, plant growth regulator and fertilizer formulations.
Application areas include fruit trees, vegetables, root and tuber crops, tobacco, medicinal plants and cotton.
COS activates plant defense pathways and helps plants respond to disease and environmental stress.
COS has demonstrated application potential against wheat mosaic disease, cotton Verticillium wilt, rice blast and tomato late blight.
The recommended rates below are expressed per Chinese mu (1 mu ≈ 667 m²) and per hectare. Adjust application timing to crop growth and field conditions.
Reference amount: 2–5 g per mu (30–75 g/ha). Apply at 7-day intervals for three consecutive applications.
Equivalent to approximately 300–600 g/ha for root-zone delivery.
Equivalent to approximately 3–12 kg/ha. May be applied together with basal fertilizer.
COS can be mixed with pesticides, foliar fertilizers, water-soluble fertilizers and biological regulators. Do not mix with alkaline pesticides.
